GRA Diploma
For the diploma, which each graduating student will receive this year, I wanted everyone to be able to take a piece of the academy to wherever they are going afterwards. I started collecting various objects from around the school and making overprints from their combinations. I came across a set of wooden tic-tac-toe pieces, which allowed me to create a grid that I could work with from both the front and the reverse side. In the end, I hope that the diploma captures what was probably the most important thing my studies have given me: that while one side presents us with rules, the other side reminds us that we can choose whether or not to follow them.
